Concentrations (2011 - 2013 Catalog)

In addition to major requirements and the full range of general education and support courses, the curriculum provides an opportunity for students to specialize in certain areas through concentrations and emphasis areas. These courses are designed to fully educate and prepare students for cultural diversity, community engagement, and international understanding in a global society. Students may also choose to complete a minor rather than a concentration (Academic Minor Form) or an Individualized Course of Study rather than a concentration. The RPTA department offers four official concentrations and one emphasis area.* Click on the links below for the official concentration contracts for each:

Community Services Management (Emphasis Area Contract)
Event Planning and Management (Concentration Contract)
Outdoor, Adventure, and Resource Recreation (Concentration Contract)
Sport Management (Concentration Contract)
Tourism Planning and Management (Concentration Contract)

* Note. Concentration denotes that the course of study has been officially approved as a concentration. An emphasis area is the similar to a concentration but without the official designation as a concentration.
